Modified Resins

We also offer modified resins for applications that require enhanced properties. These resins are specially formulated for specific performance requirements such as the ability of a wheel to withstand increased flexural pressure or the ability to provide higher bursting speeds. Our epoxy modified resins are designed to provide softer grinding actions, while exhibiting additional bond toughness, increased resistance to heat, and increased resistance to wheel cracking. Resins are also available for coating wheel reinforcement layers such as fiberglass.

Liquid Resins

Liquid Resins are an integral component in abrasive formulations and tight control of properties is necessary to ensure adequate wetting and uniform mixing. Our liquid resins are carefully formulated and controlled to specific solids, viscosity, and water tolerance levels to ensure consistent wetting and mixing of the abrasive grains, phenolic powder, and filler system.

Coated Abrasives

Coated abrasives require a consistent quality supply of backings, grains, and bonding agents. Application of the maker coat to the backing, the grain to the bond, and the sizing coat to the grains are critical processing steps with little room for error.

Eliminate bonding agents as a source of error by relying on Durez resins to provide the quality and performance your products demand.

Durez offers a wide range of liquid reins to coat a variety of backing materials and grains. Both solvent and water-borne systems are available.
